Impact Measurement

Social Return on Investment

Lind invest engages in projects that all aim to develop and educate individuals and society with the main focal point of creating social change and achieving results that lead to sustainable development with lasting impact. It is essential to us that the resources we invest in social projects have a maximum impact for the specific target group and also that we can objectively measure the impact of our initiatives and efforts, both in a social context and to society in general.

Therefore, we conduct a Social Return on Investment analysis, in which a given social effort is converted into monetary value. Results from the SROI analysis provides us with a thorough valuation and understanding of how target groups, within the specific project, can be helped most effectively. Our aim is to complete a Social Return on Investment report for every project in our portfolio and to update each analysis annually.

In order to accommodate very different aspects of our supported projects, we have conducted individually made SROI reports as well as we have conveyed different elements into each report. This means, that the method of the analyses and results are not comparable to each other. Neither is SROI reports from year to year conducted within the same project. Therefore, it is important to notice, that modifications in the SROI ratios is not necessarily caused by significant changes in the effort of the projects, but primarily caused by changes in the method of the SROI analyses.

Definition of SROI:

Social Return on Investment is a systematic way to put a monetary valuation on voluntary work and social effects by comparing the investments made in the social effort with the value created for the stakeholders involved.
